So how has your 2012 treated you? Has it been a Jubilee one? For me it has been about returning to work as a Mama, and working out how to do the freelancing thing with a little one in tow. All in all, it's gone pretty well, which is with huge thanks to both brilliantly supportive Grandparents and also a treasure of a son who has taken it all in his stride. I've loved getting back to work - to be seen as just me rather than as B's Mummy - and it's definitely made me a better Mum, meaning I value the stretches of time I'm at home with B and that I'm fulfilled in different ways. The downside of all this working and mummying is that I've not had chance to see my friends as much as I would like, and I've hardly picked up a piece if fabric or a needle all year. But I'll keep working on finding the perfect balance in the hope of discovering my version of 'having it all'!
To celebrate this fabulous, Olympic, Jubilee year, I have one of the last remaining
Diamond Maj screen prints by my sister,
The Little Peach Print Company, to giveaway.
The print is unframed and is a three colour screen print, printed by my sister's own fair hands in her little outhouse studio in Northampton. You can enter in the following ways and each way counts as an entry:
I'm not really a facebook or twitter gal so we'll leave it at that. I'll be putting all names in a hat after 8pm on Saturday 15th December. x
Such a sweet print! You've done a brilliant job so far Amy, mummying and going back to work so beautifully. An amazing role model for Bertie :)
ReplyDeleteOf course 2012 was wonderful for us thanks to the arrival of a certain someone. Awesome, life-changing, fun, hard-work, beautiful, insane...all at the same time. We can't wait to see what 2013 will bring xx
Hmmm... 2012 has been a gentle year for us. Can I have a daily highlight? The dreamy smile I get from my little boy as he sees me waiting for him after school
ReplyDeleteI love your sisters things, just ordered a family plate too. She was so helpful! My highlight of 2012 is an easy one...when everyone else was watching the olympics on tv, I was staring at my newborn sons face and sniffing his head!
